Abstraction — The Idea of Freedom is an independently organised concert of new music for cello and piano, accompanied by multi-format print collateral designed as a folded poster. When folded, it functions as a programme brochure for the evening; when unfolded, it reveals the programme notes and the event’s key visual, which draws on synaesthesia and the multiplicity of sensations that can arise from experiencing music.
