We were tasked to design a series of bimonthly newsletter detailing the regular film programmes organised and curated by the Asian Film Archive. With the Archive being positioned as an academic institution, a key objective is to provide accessibility to both the specialist and the layperson.
Our design solution adapts film material and the relevant elements from each season. On the cover, we employed a die cut shape that reveals a visual motif from the featured film. The title is typeset to adapt dynamically to each issue’s cut out pattern. Within the contents, we utilised colour as an eye catching strategy to organise complex programming information.
