Here, Forward is an independently organised concert featuring new music written by Brian Patrick Bromberg accompanied with poetry by Sarach McNeal. A multi-format print collateral was developed for the event. Designed to be a folded brochure/poster, it contains the programme for the evening when unfolded.
The words written by Sarah draw from their lived experiences in Singapore, where they were situated for the past 5 years. This concert marked their depature and a new beginning elsewhere on the globe. The key visual is a ticket stub that one might have left in their pockets over time, accumulating folds and creases.
Visual elements that arose from the pandemic were also utilised; particularly the colorful stickers that indicated your temperature, an everyday talisman. The stickers form the constellation, the Big Dipper, as a hope for safe navigation wherever the couple might go. This wish was activated by inviting each person invovled in the show to draw a silly face in it.
