Commissioned by DesignSingapore Council, Measuring the Value of Design in Singapore is a research report examining the economic, social and environmental impact of design. We developed a visual language that balances the analytical nature of the report with a playful and approachable sensibility. Drawing from the report’s Design Impact Framework, we used simple geometric shapes to represent different design disciplines and outcomes. These shapes become recurring motifs throughout the publication, taking on translucent, three-dimensional forms that interact with illustrated human figures to suggest how design shapes our everyday lives. A restrained red palette, structured typography and a series of infographics bring clarity to the extensive research.
