Project
Still, Moving
Year
2026
Client
Brian Patrick Bromberg

Designed for an independent concert organised by Brian Patrick Bromberg, Still, Moving featured new music for cello and piano by composers from around the world. The visual identity centres on two contrasting yet interconnected elements: a pinwheel and breezeblocks arranged into Chinese characters that function as adjectives describing the emotional qualities of the music. Together, they bring into dialogue materials and conditions that are simultaneously light and heavy. While breezeblocks are made of concrete and suggest weight, their purpose is to facilitate the passage of air. The pinwheel, conversely, becomes visible only when air is in motion. These forms echo the concert’s title, which evokes both the coexistence of stillness and movement, and the idea of being “still moving” — a persistent flow of energy that continues beneath moments of quietness.
